Finally taking the stage again (and how you can watch)

On Saturday July 10th, Charlee Bravos in Putnam Connecticut and Metal Fortress Radio brings with you : "Bravofest". This is an annual event that is being held in order to raise money for the American Red Cross and Homes For Our Troops, a national nonprofit which builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-911 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.

This will be an all day event featuring live performances from several bands from the local area, as well as bands from Rhode Island and New York City. This event will also include Food with the cost of admission, but will be completely free for all Veterans.

The band's will be performing both covers and original music in the styles of Classic Rock, Acoustic, Metal and Punk. The full line up of bands is as follows : Jim west,Verge of anger,Vague perception,Road kill,Dem sob's, Ricochet effect,Imbolg,DNA,Desk pop,Head Rush and Lifedown

Admission for all non veterans is $15 Doors open at 2pm,the bands start at 3pm and Dinner is served at 6pm. Charlee Bravo's is located at 9 Grove Street in Putnam, CT. For more information please call 860-963-2097

Hello all, I had yet again another unexpected hiatus. I am trying to move this blog over to our main website (which you maybe reading this from for all I know) and after the unexpected low number of reader for my last entry I was a bot taken aback. It may have been the fact that some people are not a fan of the late David Crosby or the genre of music he created. I assure you that whatever your muscial taste, it is something that you will benefit from by reading it. The Big Empty

Hello all, Well, I can say for sure that if there’s one thing consistent about this is blog is inconsistency. Or the consistency of not being consistent. Or perhaps being consistently sporadic. No matter which way you look at it, I should try to give you more to read more often. There’s the word I was looking for. I really don’t know what to make of this latest absence. We always find readily used excuses that seem to be given effortlessly such as “I was so busy”, or “I just can’t”. These are so overused and accessible that they make us feel no guilt of wasting energy better spent finding a solution than coming up with reasons why we can’t do something. A tool I often find readily available once I smell the unfortunately familiar scent of bullshit being served to me by someone incapable of getting passed their own thoughts. Can I play with Madness?

How's it going everybody? As this title may or may not imply, this is about trying to maintain consistency during the holiday madness (or Iron Maiden ) that I'm sure we are all breathing a sigh of relief that it's officially over. Don't get me wrong, we all know it's good to unwind a bit spend time celebrating with our friends and family. Although, for us ambitious types it has a way of throwing us off course no matter how hard we resist. Which is partly to blame for me not making an entry in almost two months. Since my last hiatus, I was trying diligently to stay consistent. And of course like most independent art forms, we have to be self-motivated. Knowing that there is no actual authoritative obligation (accept with my readers of course) I simply had to take a a pause til when I was comfortable to write. So here I am 😊.
