Especially last week I’m sitting here writing this thinking that this time last week I wouldn’t even be awake for another hour and a half. Seriously, after eight hours of driving with only a few breaks, it was some much-needed rest. Not that I’m complaining of course. I made these plans and chose to have these endeavors. And if I was complaining, that would totally contradict the point of this entry. I am speaking specifically about the topic of my last entry (which was actually the press release I wrote, with a few corrections) the Annual Bravofest show I have been helping put together to help raise funds for the Veteran's Charity Homes For Our Troops by holding a music festival with some of New York's & New England's best independent bands. I will include some pics and all, but I will keep it brief since I do plan t

Hello All, I know this one is coming to you a bit late this week. There’s been so much going on. And while I should be dozing off because I have a gig early in the day tomorrow, I decided to at least start writing this. Tomorrow is my first official gig of the year with the band. We have a few more planned and since I’m helping coordinate some of them I’ve been busy trying to handle some preliminary business. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how fast time moves. Which is probably why when we get the opportunity to look back at the past, we do it with such nostalgia. Most likely because it was gone in the blink of an eye, without us even taking a quick pause. Those of us who have have seen Ferris Bueller’s Day Off know that he told us to do just that. And we probably didn’t even listen.- I had plans to continue this shortly after or the day after the show. But here I am over a week and a half later continuing this while laying on a beach in Jamaica. Thi

With a Little Help from My Friends

Hello All, I would like to thank everybody that took the time to read my post from last week . I was truly unaware I wasn’t the only one that was having anxious feelings upon our upcoming high school reunion. And I’m glad that we were all able to overcome that and have a good night to remember. Like many other issues that troubles our lives, they are often easier to overcome when you discover other people better dealing with the same problems. After all, the feeling of isolation or lack of understanding only compounds a problem. So “strength in numbers” as they say. I’m still amazed by the fact that, despite all the time that has passed and how we have gone our separate ways, so many of us were in the same place mentally. Maybe this is because we all started off in the same place. Who knows? But I do know that it for me it was not only a great time, but a real eye opener about life in general. I maybe acting a bit dramatic here or taken by how wonderful the reuni

The Wonder Years : Revisiting the past for one night that will be remembered forever

Hello All, This post is dedicated to my friends, classmates and teachers from Ridgefield Park Class of 1994 For those of you who don’t know, I write a weekly blog post about life and stories as musician with some music facts. I usually start with a paragraph like the next one you’re about to read(unless you find this one too corny and say “Fuck this”lol) You are welcome to continue to read on and share with anyone you like and feel free to read my Inagrual Post . I’m sure by now we all back to our routines and this past weekend is yet another great moment in time we can look back on fondly. However, for myself personally I found it to be a really enriching experience that helped me look at my preset life with more perspective. A lot has been going on lately, and I don’t just mean my ability to keep this updated on a consistent basis. After last week It’s safe to say, I’ve covered the topics of when to speak and when to listen. But I should point out

Lay it Down

Hello All, After this streak I’ve been having, I was a bit worried that I may fall back into my pattern of inconsistency, or post every few months at best. I was trying to think of what point I should make, what scenarios, parables, etc. And of course, which song should I use to tie all those together in a pretty bow with some music facts for you. I had to really think about what has been going on lately and what I am trying to improve as to not feel like things are so bleak when it comes to continuing as musician, song writer, businessman and the other dozen or so hats that I am forced to wear these days. In my dealings with other musicians, I’ve found that many don’t realize that they are wearing the hat(s) wrong or that they don’t fit. I’m sure you that I mean they don’t know WTF they are doing. Not that I don’t make mistakes. But, I try to at least ask questions or speak up about what I’m looking to achieve. This post is on the other side of the spectrum fro

The Heat of the Moment

Hello All, I know last week’s post somewhat contradicts what I’ve said before about listening to what others have to say. Because good or bad it does taint your actions. If anything It was my way of showing those of you who are reading this that encouraging words (to put it mildly because this person used to the term “best ever” to describe some of my work) can be motivation beyond any official accolades or on the other hand negative words from others. Now that I’ve gotten back into the swing of things, I’m starting to realize again it’s not so easy to maintain these posts. Especially since I’m writing on two platforms now, which most of you were probably reading from the band’s website. I had to go back into last week’s post several times. The videos We’re not in embedded properly so that you could just see them on this page. Same went for a few of the links I put up. So for those of you who were among those who looked at it soon after I posted it, I apolog

One Little Victory

Hello everyone, I’m sure some of you are in shock that I’ve actually been consistent. I find it necessary to keep on going and sharing my experiences. no matter how mundane or subpar they maybe to some. But I hope that some of you can relate to these, or that the inspire you to make a positive change. As we know this past week, we experienced an earthquake and an eclipse on the East Coast. I’m sure many are scrambling around, thinking that this has to be some big coincidence and things are going to start getting worse. That’s just the fear that I warned you about last week. Just ask yourself, don’t you think we’ve been through the worst already? I sure think so. Not only did the events of the past four years and many lives, But they have changed pretty much everyone who has survived. I watch people that once had strong bonds being torn apart by their conflicting views. Which isn’t anything new, Think of how many families don’t speak over politics. And like I’ve always

The Promise

Hello everyone, I know it’s been months since I wrote some thing. I probably said that a few dozen times so it’s safe to say The only thing I’m consistent at is being inconsistent( & I’ve probably already said that too) I’m just trying to find a way to create a regimen in order to rectify this. And if anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears. I could just blame my absence on a number of things. Such as everybody’s go-to excuse,”I’m Busy”. But I must admit that it’s lack of organization, combined with being overwhelmed with so many things I have to do indirectly in order to keep my project afloat. But I am not looking for any sympathy or patronizing. Even though a few medical issues had a rose, which kept me not just from writing, but also performing during the summer months, I enjoy playing outside with an acoustic guitar and a portable amp. Or ask they call it in England “busking”. Oh, obviously, I meant to post this during the s
